The Sprott School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track position in Entrepreneurship (Assistant/Associate/Full) effective July 1, 2023.

The successful candidate will be associated with the Technology Innovation Management program in delivering graduate and undergraduate courses to a culturally diverse student body, supervising graduate students, maintaining an active research program, and participating actively in the ongoing development of our academic programs and initiatives in a highly collegial environment. Additionally, the successful candidate will develop academic content and collaborative programs across academic discipline areas to support Carleton University’s newly established Innovation Hub and the growth of Entrepreneurship programs across the university.

Candidates from all disciplinary backgrounds with demonstrated scholarly work in technology innovation, cross-border, digital and/or inclusive entrepreneurship are welcome to apply.


Qualifications

Candidates for this position will possess a Ph.D., or equivalent in a relevant field or be near completing their degree by July 2023. Candidates should demonstrate potential (Assistant Professor) or have a strong record of research publications and productivity (Associate/Full Professor) consistent with AACSB guidelines for a doctoral-granting business school. Candidates should also demonstrate potential (Assistant Professor) or have an established record of successful teaching (Associate/Full Professor). Publications should clearly demonstrate focus on technology entrepreneurship and innovation management, cross-border, digital and inclusive entrepreneurship, or closely related areas. Experience in leading people and projects in industry, launching new companies or business units, and managing global initiatives would be considered an asset.


About the Academic Unit

The Sprott School of Business is committed to excellence in teaching and research and is accredited by AACSB. The School offers the following degrees: Bachelor of Commerce with Honours including a concentration in Entrepreneurship, a Bachelor of International Business with Honours, a Master of Business Administration including an off-campus program in China, a Master of Accounting, a Master of Entrepreneurship, a Master of Applied Business Analytics and a Ph.D. in Management. In addition, Sprott faculty contribute to the Master of Applied Science and Master of Engineering within the Technology Innovation Management program.
