The Office of Student Progression and Registrar is currently seeking an experienced individual to fill a Process Analyst position. The incumbent will work as a member of the Process Analyst team with all projects related to Student Information Systems in the Office of the Registrar. The Process Analyst team also provides production support on Registrar’s Office and Student Information System related functionality.
Responsibilities:
- Gathering & documenting business requirements, synthesizing appropriate data and proposing solutions to streamline processes.
- Understanding business requirements and processes and translate them into the Student Information System as it relates to on-line services for students, website, processes and programs.
- Monitoring of data to ensure its integrity and quality.
- Assisting with end users training and documentation to ensure they are accurate and up-to-date.
- Participating in testing the Student Information system upgrades, fixes and patches.
- Co-leading training workshops.
- Resolving queries, discern business needs, and participate in problem analysis.
Skills and Abilities:
The Process Analyst will be a member of an energetic student orientated team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, organizational and training skills; a demonstrated knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications and web-based technologies; an ability to interpret technical information to a non-technical audience and an ability to work as part of a team, in collaboration with other stakeholders, as well as independently.
Qualifications:
- Related post-secondary diploma or degree
- Minimum of five years of experience working with student administration systems or other diverse business process systems, preferably in a post-secondary environment
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Preference will be given to applicants who have PeopleSoft experience
- Business Analyst certification would be an asset
Remuneration: $2789.39 – $3736.58 Bi-weekly, based on a 36.25 hour work week (Classification – Process Analyst II)
This position is covered by the AUPE (Alberta Union of Provincial Employees) Collective Agreement.
