Your opportunity:


The Stewardship Team at DUA leads the development and implementation of stewardship programs and services that seek to foster a culture ofaccountability, service, and appreciation to the University’s donors. Within the Stewardship Team, the Principal Gift Implementation portfolio is integral to the central development, strategy, and execution of deliverables promised in gift agreements between the University and many of the University’s most generous donors. The fulfilment of gift agreement deliverables ensures the long-term and trusted relationship between the University and the donor, ultimately leading to best practice stewardship and re-solicitation.

The PG Implementation portfolio works directly with senior leaders and colleagues within DUA and advancement divisions. It involves partnering closely with our academic partners at newly created Centres and Institutes to support their ambitious growth plans, already transforming the research landscape locally, nationally, and globally.

The coordinator contributes directly to DUA’s implementation and stewardship programs by providing operational support to the portfolio’s activity, ultimately supporting strong relationships with principal gift donors.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Fostering positive relationships with prospective andexisting donors
  • Drafting donor acknowledgment and recognition communications
  • Providing detailed information for the development of donor relations and stewardship programs
  • Conceptualizing, organizing and executing event activities
  • Overseeing tasks related to the production and dissemination of communications/marketing materials
  • Identifying and resolving individual data anomalies and discrepancies
  • Updating and maintaining database records
  • Monitoring accounts for a project and/or program

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years of related professional experience is required,experience with direct donor relations, fundraising, marketing, or specials events experience preferred
  • Experience drafting communications.
  • Experience coordinating events in collaboration with other staff, volunteers and external vendors.
  • Demonstrated writing experience and excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Excellent computer skills; proficiency in using advanced functions of word processing, Excel spreadsheets and CRM databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to a high level of customer service, tact and confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently; able to execute existing work while managing and responding to urgent opportunities.
  • Detail-oriented person with an appreciation for accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of staff, volunteers, donors and external contacts with tact and diplomacy to build and maintain successful relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to high level of ethical standards in utilizing donor information and to confidentiality requirements.

USW Pay Band 10 -- $69,455 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $88,819. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
