Position Summary:
The candidate will conduct original research relating to development of advanced electrochemical materials and processes for making new solid-state lithium batteries and direct recycling of spent lithium batteries. The candidate will design, fabricate, characterize and electrochemically test novel hybrid solid-state electrolytes and their lithium metal batteries. The incumbent will be investigating hydrothermal synthesis, mechanochemical processing and investigate the calcination applied to relithiation and upcycling of cathodes. The candidate will also perform in depth electrode and electrolyte material characterization and electrochemical analysis. Write manuscripts and give presentations at conferences.
