Position Summary:

The Person-Centered Health Informatics (PCHI) Lab at McGill University is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral research fellowship position, under the supervision of Dr. Sara Ahmed. Research in the PCHI Lab focuses on digital health and using data for rapid cycles of learning and improvement in rehabilitation care. Ongoing studies are exploring topics such as clinical trials to evaluate digital health solutions to improve patient and health system outcomes, and the application of patient reported outcomes to improve patient and provider communication.

The postdoctoral fellow will be part of a unique partnership between the PCHI lab, the BRILLIANT lab and the different clinical teams in various regions in the Montreal Metropolitan area. As a fellow, you will be responsible for data analysis and providing communication to stakeholders about results and outcomes. You will also be responsible for data manipulation and its processing through artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Qualifications:

  • PhD or equivalent in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Services Research, or a related field

  • Experience developing quantitative and qualitative research in the health sciences

  • Proficiency in data analytics and visualization using R or a similar program

  • While not required, candidates with experience in artificial intelligence and virtual reality on the rehabilitation trajectory should emphasize these skills.

Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level #3 (qualifier) on a scale of 0-4.


Annual Salary:
