Position Summary:
A finite element method (FEM) framework was developed based on nonlinear kinematic hardening and multilinear kinematic hardening models to predict the plastic deformation of additively manufactured (AM) parts during cyclic loading. The main objective of the current project will be to add low cycle fatigue (LCF) lifing to the already developed FEM framework. Based on results obtained, it is clear that hardening parameters depend on the build direction of the material. Hence, the hardening models will be updated to reflect the dependency of the hardening parameters on the build direction of the material. Hardening constants will be identified via experiments, and numerical predictions will be validated against experimental data.

Hold a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, in the area of structural dynamics and vibration.
