The laboratory of Prof. Jerome Fortin at the Montreal Neurological Institute is seeking for a motivated postdoctoral researcher focused on computational biology applied to the study of brain tumors. Working in a multi-disciplinary team of wet-lab and dry-lab scientist, the researcher will investigate the mechanisms of diffuse glioma initiation and progression, and aim to identify therapeutic targets. To do so, the researcher will notably analyze bulk and single-cell multi-omics datasets (gene expression, DNA methylation, chromatin accessibility, transcription factor binding, and others) from mouse and human brain tumor samples at different stages of progression and after exposure to therapies.

The postdoctoral researcher will have opportunities to lead projects, devise data analysis strategies, and develop or implement new computational analysis pipelines. The researcher will be expected to work closely with wet-lab scientists to integrate the analysis of omics data and wet-lab experimental results.

The researcher will have opportunities to present their work at lab meetings, local and international conferences, and will be expected to contribute to writing manuscripts describing their results. The researcher will also be expected to apply for fellowships for which they are eligible.

The initial appointment is for a period of 1 year and is renewable.
