Hiring Unit: Office of the Vice-President (Research & Innovation)

Location: Healthy Brains, Healthy Lives (1010 Sherbrooke St W)

Position Summary:
The Policy and Knowledge Exchange Intern supports Healthy Brains, Healthy Lives (HBHL) with the creation of a policy document with suggested actions for improving brain health in Canada. Reporting to the Policy and Knowledge Exchange Officer, the Intern will support this project by conducting qualitative and quantitative data Analyzes from survey results. Other possible tasks include conducting a literature review, attending meetings with partners and assisting with the organization of HBHL events. Work will be conducted within HBHL office hours, with three days a week in-person at HBHL's office at 1010 Sherbrooke St W.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the creation of a policy document through conducting qualitative and quantitative data Analyzes from survey responses from researchers, brain health practitioners and other professionals from across Canada.
  • Conduct a literature review of past and current brain health declarations or strategies in Canada.
  • Provide logistical support to organize HBHL events.

Education & experience:

  • Graduate Student with 2 years related experience

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:

  • Background in public health, neuroscience or another related field.
  • Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data analyses.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Office) including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Forms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
