Hiring Unit:

Infrastructure Management & Strategic Planning
Position Summary:


Under the direction of the Senior Consultant, Infrastructure Management and Strategic Planning, the intern will collect and organize data related to McGill’s construction and renovation projects with the end goal to produce a report to quantify the impacts of capital investments on the facility condition index of the University’s building portfolio.  


Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • Review projects that have finished construction since the last report.

  • Liaise with the Project Management team to confirm which deficiencies were addressed by each project.


  • Cross checks scope elements addressed by projects with the list of deficiencies identified in the building condition assessment report. 


  • Updates information in online building condition assessment database. 


  • Creates various documents including reports, process flow charts, and data lists 


  • The list of functions outlined above is representative and not a complete and detailed list of tasks which may be performed by an incumbent.  



Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:


High School Diploma, Students enrolled in a B. Eng. or B. Arch. Program. 


U1/U2 level students preferred. 


Students must have work proficiency level in English and French.
