GCPIF liaison/communication for the development of the GCPIF program. Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent will perform the listed general administration functions.

Hiring Unit:
Department of Integrated Studies in Education.
Position Summary:

  • responding to interested potential applicants / building an FAQ list for website

  • continue to improve website

  • assisting applicants with the application package

  • responding to new and current student questions

  • contacting admitted students with information regarding registration etc.  

  • advising new students

  • planning and producing program orientation materials / running orientation session

  • liaising with course lectures re online course delivery

  • planning orientation/coordination sessions for course lecturers

  • work on marketing GCPIF


Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

Qualifications Required (skills and abilities, education, language skills):

Excellent proficiency in French and English, Thorough understanding of French Immersion programs, pedagogy, and theory, Graduate degree in SLE, Teacher certification as a French Immersion teacher

Education/experience requirements:

MA in SLE, Experience as a French Immersion Teacher

Additional qualifying skills and abilities:

Understanding of the need for more qualified French Immersion teachers to fill the current gap across Canada. Connections to French Immersion professional organizations and knowledge of French Immersion structures across Canada


Minimum Education and Experience:


High School Diploma 1 Year Related Experience


Hourly Salary:


(AMUSE B) $28.00
