Campus Events provides leadership, direction, expertise and advice in event production to the University community and external stakeholders, with emphasis on high standards for customer service, attention to detail and quality. Campus Events manages and facilitates a broad portfolio of activities including 25,000+ space booking annually including all internal, Recognized Student Groups and external requests for all spaces in the central room inventory across the St. George Campus. Campus Events also offers a concierge service to support high production virtual and hybrid events.
With a population on the St. George campus of approximately 80,000 people engaged in a variety of diverse activities, Campus Events provides a focal point to assess and ensure a variety of high profile and other events can be successfully executed, while ensuring that the activities related to the purpose of the University - namely academic instruction and research - can proceed without disruption.

Your opportunity:
Under the general supervisor the Supervisor, Media Production, Campus Events, the incumbent will provide multi-media support for Campus Event initiatives. 

Your responsibilities will include:
•    Performing the setup and takedown of equipment required for events
•    Operating various audio/visual/media production systems for a variety of events, including virtual event platforms
•    Checking and testing to ensure equipment is in working order
•    Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
•    Editing post-production audio and/or visual material
•    Collecting presentation and event materials in advance of audio-visual set-up 

Essential Qualifications:
•    Post-secondary training in a two-year media arts program or equivalent combination of education and experience
•    Minimum of one year of related experience.
•    Working knowledge of cinematography/video production and audiovisual equipment, audiovisual test equipment, computer platforms such as Macs, PCs, tablets, and mobile devices etc. and various software.
•    Must have and maintain an Ontario Class G drivers’ licence with a good driving record
•    Working knowledge of MS Office & MS Teams, Photoshop, Adobe editing suite, Vmix stream encoder, use of Custom PC Laptop Capture Station.
•    Must have excellent customer service skills; good oral and written communication skills
•    Excellent project and workflow management
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
