Reporting to the Business Development Lead, the Marketing & Operations Coordinator is a key contributor delivering and furthering Continuing Dental Education’s (CDE) strategic marketing plan.  The nature of this role is highly collaborative, working with multiple stakeholders to ensure CDE’s marketing goals are met.  The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and implementing strategic marketing plans for both individual programs.

The Marketing & Operations Coordinator will provide expertise in the creation, development, implementation, and measurement of marketing and communication initiatives and campaigns. The incumbent may also contribute their expertise to both online learning and promotional events, market research, market strategy and planning, identification of new programming opportunities, and some graphic design/desktop publishing.

Duties

  • Determine and implement best—in-class strategies to analyze market potential and implement same for CDE’s bank of products.
  • Work with high-performance digital marketing/social media channels and tactics including website and registration systems (ie. Shopify) to ensure positive gains (both measurable and otherwise).
  • Directly impact whether programs (new and existing) are viable given market analysis and conclusions.
  • Produce marketing and promotional materials that help communicate CDE service offerings. Materials may include the annual course/program calendar.
  • Think creatively to produce new strategies, ideas and concepts to maximize course/program participants and develop marketing strategies to solicit new clientele.
  • Create and maintain a Contact Management System to track and record business transactions for the purposes of building, maintaining, and nurturing relationships with participants and key stakeholders, including sponsors.
  • Support development and implementation of school and central strategic marketing plans and strategies as they are implemented. Utilize these and other resources that best fit CDE’s overall marketing and communication strategy.
  • Provide periodic executive summary reporting of status and progress of your responsibilities.
  • Collect data (Google analytics, participant surveys specific to marketing, etc.), conduct analysis, and report on results and meaningful patterns.   
  • Review success of campaigns and develop ways to improve.
  • Write effective, concise copy for multiple platforms, websites, and social networks.
  • Work closely with the Business Development & Operational Lead and Program Coordinators and their Assistants to ensure program deliverables are met.

Qualifications

  • Minimum education is an undergraduate degree with a focus on marketing, public relations, advertising, mass communications, or a related discipline; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum four years of experience in marketing, communications, business development or related field.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Comprehensive copywriting and editing experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in communications, social media, marketing, and advertising strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing communication strategies (advertising, direct marketing, and/or public relations) and materials.
  • Excellent computer literacy including business applications (Microsoft Office -Project, Excel, etc.), registration software (Shopify), comprehensive desktop publishing skills (Adobe Creative Suite) and meeting and presentation software (Google, Zoom et al).
  • Self-motivated, creative, and comfortable working on concurrent projects.
  • Experience in media buying, advertising planning, and coordination is an asset.
  • Ability to network with many diverse groups, including sponsors and key stakeholders with competing interests.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be physically fit to perform all job functions with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
