Essential staffing requirements

To be eligible, you must mandatorily meet the following requirements.


Education
  • Successful completion of a master’s degree from a recognized postsecondary institution* in library science or in library and information science; or
  • A bachelor’s degree from a recognized postsecondary institution* in library science or in library and information science, where another bachelor’s degree was a prerequisite.
  • * A recognized postsecondary institution is a Canadian public or private institution that is recognized or authorized to grant degrees, diplomas, and other credentials by a public or private act of the provincial/territorial legislature or through a government-mandated quality assurance mechanism. The institution must be listed in the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials (external link) directory.
  • You must upload your education credentials in the education section of your candidate profile and submit all required documents by the closing date and time of this poster. Failure to do so can result in your application not being considered further.

Experience

Have experience* in each of the following:

  • Advanced online research skills, including the ability to perform sophisticated searches using financial and business databases;
  • Familiarity with legal research techniques and the major legal online resources;
  • A demonstrated focus in providing exceptional client service.

*Experience is normally associated with the performance of these functions as part of the major job duties accomplished over a total period of 2 years in the last 5 years.
