Applications are invited for a position in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University Health Network, a fully affiliated hospital within the University of Toronto.

University Health Network is a secondary, tertiary and quaternary health science centre providing services to Toronto, southern Ontario and Canada.  The Department of Otolaryngology at the University Health Network is sub-specialty focused in Head and Neck Oncology and Neurotology.  The Department has an academic focus in surgical trials and translational research in Head and Neck Oncology.

The successful candidate will be an Otolaryngologist, Head and Neck Surgeon with a clinical focus in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology who is early in their career.  It is expected this individual will have advanced skills in surgical management of Head and Neck Oncologic disorders. Subspecialty expertise in Microvascular Surgery, Transoral Robotic Surgery and Minimally Invasive Head and Neck Surgery including Transoral Laser Microsurgery and Airway Reconstruction.  The successful candidate will have completed a Fellowship in an Accredited American Head and Neck Society Fellowship program or equivalent. The successful candidate will have experience in clinical or translational research and demonstrate a strong commitment to research and education. The candidate should hold an advanced degree in Clinical Epidemiology or Public Health.

The candidate must hold a Fellowship in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada or equivalent and will be eligible for an independent practice license from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.  He/She should be eligible for appointment in the Department of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Toronto at a rank commensurate with his/her qualifications and academic achievements starting with Lecturer or Assistant Professor.  All qualified candidate are encouraged to apply, however Canadian and permanent residents will be given priority.
