Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning and working within a collaborative team environment, the Learning and Development Advisor is responsible to support the implementation and administration of programs and services for our competitive, leading edge and high quality education programs.  The Learning and Development Advisor plays a lead role between faculty, contractors, students and internal and external RRU stakeholders.  The Advisor supports the overall vision and contributions of the Professional and Continuing Studies unit by supporting the planning of training and providing personalized follow up with clients, students and Associate Faculty.


Job Requirements
  • Degree in a relevant field  and at least 5-7 years of experience in the areas of client-centered service,  program development and administration; or equivalent combination of education & experience 
  • Knowledge and understanding of adult education requirements, principals, methods and processes
  • Ability to liaise effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally, and maintain a professional approach to working relationships and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience the design, delivery, and implementation of adult learning experiences
  • Experience developing and fostering client and partner relationships
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills including presentation skills, technical writing skills  and learning technology trends and issues
  • Ability to operate in an environment of deadlines and multiple priorities 
  • Strong diplomatic skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Demonstrated project and event management skills
  • Advanced computer skills (including MS Office Suite, web conferencing tools, SharePoint, Social Media)
  • Advanced communication and document editing (Word) skills
  • Ability to work in a creative and driven, team-based, collaborative environment

Additional Information
This is a regular, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. This position has been evaluated at MPT-C with a salary range of $74,204 (minimum) to $87,204 (midpoint) to $100,203 (maximum) per annum. Employment offers will normally be made between the minimum and midpoint of the range and are determined by knowledge, experience and internal equity.
