Hiring Unit:
Department of Biology
Position Summary:
Assists with sample collection during fieldwork in Station de biologie des Laurentides, QC;
Assists with curating and cataloguing insect samples collected at SBL;
Assists with collecting plant samples at Gault and Penfield nature reserve;
Assists with drying and curating plant samples collected.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
Appreciates fieldwork/outdoor life in Canada;
Must have taken some courses in functional biology/ecology;
Must be able to work independently on repetitive tasks;
Must be able to swim/feel comfortable in water.
Experience and education:
Undergraduate student majoring in Biology
Experience with aquatic fieldwork (e.g. through previous internships).
