Schedule Description
This position will be a specific term appointment with training from April 22-30th. Normal days of work are Tuesday through to Friday The work term is as follows: September 3rd, 2024 - May 2, 2025 With a non working Christmas break from December 13th, 2024-January 5th, 2025 Non working days November 7-8th, 2024 Non-working days Feb 18-21th, 2025
DUTIES

Performs dishwashing, pot and pan cleaning, and housekeeping duties.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Washes, dries and stores dishes, utensils, pots, pans and other kitchen equipment.
  • Cleans dishwasher machine, garbareter and conveyor equipment.
  • Performs housekeeping duties such as cleaning countertops, sinks, dusting, spot washing walls and splash areas.
  • Performs other duties related to the function of the Kitchen Aide as required.

    Manager of Operations, Faculty of Adventure, Culinary Arts and Tourism Management


    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION

     

    • Grade 10 or equivalent

    EXPERIENCE

     

    • Three months' related experience

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES RELATED TO THE JOB

     

    • Ability to operate related equipment such as a dishwasher machine

    WORKING CONDITIONS

     

    • Kitchen environment:  standing for long periods of time, operating commercial dishwasher, water and steam, some exposure to cleansing agents 

    The salary for the above position is determined by the Collective Agreement with the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 4879, as it presently exists.
    Pay Band
    $24.55 - $27.28 ( CUPE Grade 02 (90% - 100%) )
    Salary rate
    This Position is not subject to a 90% start rate for new Employees.
