RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position summary
Dr. Natalia Gorelik leads a research program on the optimization of medical imaging utilization. The junior assistant will assist Dr. Gorelik in her research projects.
General Duties
• Collecting and organizing data for the research projects from electronic medical records (90%)
• Assisting with various administrative tasks related to the research projects (10%)
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Extracting data from patient medical records.
Education / Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Field of Study: Health Sciences (e.g., physiology, anatomy, nursing)
Work Experience:
Work experience in healthcare, including with patient medical records.
Professional Membership: ☐ Yes ☒ No
Required Skills
• The ability to understand information in patient medical records is essential.
• Excellent French and English, spoken and written,
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
• Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision,
• Thoroughness and attention to detail
• Good analytical and logical skills
• Evaluation and problem-solving skills
Additional information
Status: Temporary occasional
Pay Scale: $18.75 to $28.12. Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift: variable (0-20 hours per week)
Work Site: Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal General Hospital, or remote
