Jubilee Parking Attendant

This competition is open to all applicants however internal candidates and applicants who were former employees of the University of Alberta in the past 18 months will be given priority consideration before external candidates. Please indicate your internal status using the "Advertisement" drop down menu when applying. 

This competition will be used to fill multiple casual positions primarily for day, evening and weekend shifts. 

The end date will be approximately one year from the date of hire. 

The Jubilee Parking Attendant provides on-site parking support to special events for the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium.

Duties

• Delivers change and permits to kiosks as required
• Directs traffic as required
• Performs minor repairs/maintenance to parking equipment (cash registers)
• Liaises with Campus community regarding parking concerns
• Compiles occurrence reports/witness statements
• Sells visitor parking permits
• Provides parking related information such as prices, parking availability and locations
• Balances and reconciles cash, credit card receipts against inventory sold; prepares deposit documentation 
• Monitors parking space inventory
• Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma
• Previous industry experience would be considered an asset
• Excellent customer service skills and good verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in changeable working conditions including inclement weather

COVID-19 Vaccination: Proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 in compliance with the University’s COVID-19 Vaccination Directive. Fully Vaccinated means a status an individual achieves 14 days after having received the recommended number of doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada or the World Health Organization, and requires the individual to maintain the recommended number and type of vaccine doses as updated and required by Health Canada thereafter.
