SAIT is seeking an instructor for CPNT 223 - Network Security. Reporting to the Academic Chair, this position requires specific knowledge and teaching skills related to:
·        Securing a network
·        Administrative access on Cisco routers
·        Secure administrative access with AAA
·        Network firewall technologies
·        IPS configuration to mitigate risk
·        LAN security
·        Data confidentiality and integrity
·        Secure virtual private networks
·        Security policy implementation
The Role
    • Create a positive learning environment.
    • Ensure relevant content exists and grades are maintained in the learning management system (LMS)
    • Ensure learning outcomes are met.
    • Use available resources, tools, techniques, and strategies, to ensure student success.
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues.
    • Prepare lessons plans to ensure classroom success.
    • Provide support, guidance, and advice to students.
    • Demonstrate competencies in leadership, communication, teamwork, problem solving, emotional intelligence, and time management.
    • Respond to student requests in a timely manner.
    • Attend meetings as needed between 8am and 6pm

Qualifications
    • Minimum of 3-5 years professional experience in information technology
    • Previous teaching, training, coaching, or mentoring experience is strongly preferred
    • Post-secondary education in a related field.
    • Relevant certification

Job Classification: INSTRUCTOR - S4001
Hourly Wage: $35.99 - $45.55
