The School of Computer Science at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada invites applications from qualified candidates for a confirmation-track appointment in Computer Science at the rank of Instructor I, beginning July 1, 2022.

The primary duty of this position is to teach six undergraduate courses.

The School seeks to maintain its commitment to excellence and recognizes that increasing the diversity of its faculty supports this objective. The School has 40 full-time faculty members. Research strengths are big data analytics, computational geometry, computer security, databases and information systems, distributed computing, graphics, HCI, high-performance computing, machine learning and networks. The School offers a Bachelor of Computer Science degree and graduate programs at the Masters and Ph.D. levels. A Ph.D. in Computer Science is required by the position start date. Candidates should have a commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level. We are particularly looking for candidates qualified to teach software development courses. Industrial experience is an asset.
