The College is the smallest college on the St. George Campus of the University of Toronto, located in the central Toronto downtown core, steps from the Bloor – St. George subway station and Queen’s Park.

Position Summary:
The John W. Graham Library embodies nearly two centuries of vision, energy, and commitment to the academic enterprise of Trinity College. The Library serves Trinity’s undergraduate Arts and Science students, the Basic Degree and Graduate Divinity students of Trinity and Wycliffe Colleges, Trinity and Wycliffe alumni, and the greater University of Toronto and Anglican Church communities who seek our resources.

The Trinity College grounds comprise spectacular historic buildings, and the College is among the most prestigious colleges on the St. George Campus of the University of Toronto. Trinity’s campus currently consists of four main buildings and is located in the central Toronto downtown core, steps from the Bloor-St. George subway and Queen’s Park.

Wycliffe College is a graduate theology school accredited through The Association of Theological Schools ATS and a cofounder of the seven-member theological consortium of the Toronto School of Theology federated with the University of Toronto. Wycliffe was founded in the evangelical Anglican tradition, and now plays a strategic role in the development of community leaders, scholars, and ministers who represent denominations across the contemporary religious landscape. Wycliffe’s student body is composed of over two hundred and fifty full and part-time students, master’s and doctoral degree programs. Geographically, Wycliffe draws students from across North America and overseas and with this broad denominational and global reach, the College prepares students for their vocations as the theological leaders of tomorrow.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
• Development and delivery of information literacy instruction at the graduate level (both in class and extracurricular/drop-in) for Trinity College’s Faculty of Divinity and Wycliffe College’s graduate courses, including doctoral candidates.
• Provision of general in-depth research assistance for undergraduate students, faculty, and others at the University of Toronto.
• Provision of research assistance and support to first-year students through the University of Toronto’s Personal Librarian program.
• Liaises and collaborates as appropriate with other librarians in the UTL system, including service on standing committees.
• Liaises and collaborates with faculty and academic support services locally at Trinity College and Wycliffe College.
• Collaboration with colleagues on library services outreach programming.
• Promotes the use of Graham Library’s theological collections and resources through a range of in-person and online outreach activities.
• Assumes responsibilities for the selection of theology materials for the John W. Graham Library and participate in collection development projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Educational and Experience requirements:
• ALA-accredited master’s degree in library or information science, or equivalent.
• An advanced degree in a relevant subject area (preferred).

Skills and Attributes:
• Excellent oral and written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in information literacy instruction programming.
• Successful experience in academic librarianship.

Working Hours:
Part time, 17.5 hours per week. Generally 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, however flexibility in hours is required due to the nature of working with students, and occasional or weekend work will be required to accommodate the student schedule. Overtime may be required during peak periods.
