Job Description
Hydrocephalus Canada is now in its 50th year of providing support, information, education, awareness and research. We are the only agency in Canada providing these services to children, adults and the elderly living with Hydrocephalus and/or spina bifida in Canada. We are currently looking for an individual (undergraduate) who will help another one of our remote volunteers to contact (by email) a set number of agencies and charities across Canada who are known to treat, support or work with people with Hydrocephalus and/or Spina bifida. Our goal is to reach out to as many of the listed agencies and individuals as possible and provide them literature about Spina Bifida, Hydrocephalus and the work of Hydrocephalus Canada. This is an awareness building and relationship building outreach project. This particular project will be of interest to students interested in healthcare, information management and integrity. As this is a volunteer opportunity, you will receive a fantastic reference letter as compensation as well as valuable experience and learning.

Any other important information?
We ask that our volunteer being willing to volunteer 3-5 hours per week. This will be a remote position and you will be working alongside another volunteer and under our joint supervision. As you will be working remotely, having access to a computer/laptop is necessary. Monthly meetings are held via Zoom for status updates. Work is shared through google docs and access and knowledge of basic spreadsheeting is helpful. We communicate via email so having the ability to work independently and have initiative is a must.
