Hiring Unit:

Department of Biochemistry

Position Summary:

The Graduate Teaching Fellow works with a pedagogy expert and does not interact with students. This work is currently not connected to a particular course. Any developed materials will be matched to courses that are either existing or to be created for the department. 

(Please note this is not a Teaching Assistant Position)

  • Developing new laboratory experiments for the Biochemistry department.

  • Meet the Supervisor and determine work objectives and timetable.

  • Collaborate with Supervisor to develop teaching material.

  • Total contract hours: 72 hours.

  • Contract period: May 21, 2024 to August 30, 2024.

Additional Requirements:

  • The candidate's graduate studies lab must be located at the McIntyre building.

  • To be completed outside of regular graduate research duties.

  • Work schedule flexible, and upon agreement with the research supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of the courses content.

  • Excellent laboratory skills.

Language Requirements:

  • Effective communication skills in English are essential.

  • Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level 4 (qualifier) on a scale of 0-4.
