Duties and Responsibilities:

The Graduate Program Administrator is responsible for the efficient administrative operation of all aspects of the Clayton H. Riddell Graduate Program in Political Management (MPM). The Graduate Program Administrator reports to the College Administrator of the Arthur Kroeger College of Public Affairs and works closely with the MPM Program Director providing support and advice. The MPM Program is resident in the Arthur Kroeger College within the Faculty of Public Affairs.


Qualifications:

The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:
• Mature and sound judgment is required;
• Extensive knowledge of both University and general administrative procedures;
• Strong understanding of the requirements of the Master of Political Management program
• Maturity when working under pressure, flexibility and resourcefulness;
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
• Work well with all members of the University community;
• Respond to queries in a professional manner;
• Possess the ability to work successfully with guidance from the Program Director, Practicum Coordinator and the College Administrator;
• Personal initiative and independent problem solving are essential;
• Tact, reliability, sensitivity to various cultural profiles and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential.


Education and Experience:

The above is normally acquired through the completion of:
• Completion of a three (3) year university degree;
• Three to four (4) years experience in a university setting with increasing responsibility.
