Grant Description:

Established in 1952, the Department of Political Science is one of the founding units of Carleton University. With a history stretching back to 1942, when Carleton College was first set up to educate veterans returning from World War II, today Carleton’s Political Science departments is one of the largest in Canada. Thirty-four full-time faculty teach across a wide range of subjects at the undergraduate and graduate levels to offer programs at the General BA, Honours BA, MA and PhD levels. The Department of Political Science is part of the Faculty of Public Affairs, which brings together twelve departments and schools focused on preparing students to apply scholarly knowledge to the practical world. We are also located in Canada’s capital city with all that has to offer in terms of direct interaction with parliament, political decision makers, the federal government and a wide range of governmental and non-governmental organizations.


Specialization:

North American politics with a focus on any of the political, security, military, economic, social or cultural dimensions of Canada-U.S. relations.
