| Position Details | Athletics & Recreation Services (ARS) at the University of Lethbridge is seeking applications for a qualified Facility Operator – Athletics & Recreation. This is a full-time, continuing AUPE position, working 7.5 hours per day on a modified work week. The position will primarily work weekdays; however, shifts may include evenings and weekends based on operational and event requirements. Reporting to the Manager, Athletic & Recreation Facilities, the Athletics & Recreation Facility Operator plays a key role in the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the University’s athletic and recreation facilities, including the Community Sports Stadium, Centre for Sport and Wellness, Max Bell Regional Aquatic Centre, gymnasiums, Fitness Centre, Ascent Climbing Centre, and associated spaces. This position is well suited to an individual who is mechanically inclined, hands-on, and comfortable troubleshooting equipment and facility issues. The successful candidate will work both independently and collaboratively with ARS staff, University Facilities, trades, contractors, suppliers, and facility users. We recognize that candidates may bring different combinations of experience, training, and technical skills to this role. While applicants are not expected to possess every preferred qualification listed below, these qualifications and demonstrated competencies will be considered in assessing and comparing candidates.
