Evaluate the immunogenic potential of senescent cells through their display of unique MHC I-...

Location: Government of Canada Ottawa and Gatineau offices, ONTARIO
Job Type: FullTime
Deadline: 30 Nov 2022

For this project, 155 peptides specific to senescent human fibroblasts were identified using an unbiased immunopeptidomic screen.  The hypothesis is that some of these peptides could be used to activate the immune system. The main objectives will be to perform immune-based experiments to determine if these peptides can lead to the immune rejection of deleterious senescent cells. It is also expected to identify specific markers for the identification of senescent cells in vivo. This project combines molecular and cell biology in the field of cancer and immunology. The candidate will benefit from the complementary expertise of a multidisciplinary team and of a rich research environment.
