Hiring Unit:
Facilities Management and Ancillary Services
Position Summary:
Using plans and specifications, installs, checks, maintains and repairs all electrical systems; prepares and works on materials; performs related duties.
Qualifications:

Must have the "Certificat en électricité" from Emploi-Québec OR "Certificat de Compétence-Compagnon (Électricien)". Ability to use meters, amprobes, and other general test equipment. Must have attended a construction safety course. Written English and French functional spoken and read, English or French functional written.

Additional Details:

Stand-by Premium (16.00$ for each 8 hour period during which the employee remains on stand-by)

Status: Full-Time

Hours of Work: 38.75 hrs/week; Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 3:45 pm. Incumbent will be required to be on 24/7 call-in for one week every 7-10 weeks.

“Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level #3 on a scale of 0-4.”
