Fall 2023 Course Lecturer Position

The Department of Political Science is inviting applications for a course lecturer position to teach in Fall 2023. Please include your Cover Letter and Curriculum Vitae and if applicable a copy of your Study/Work Permit. A brief course outline is optional.


POLI 365-001 Democratic Theory (CAP 55)
A series of lectures and seminars on democratic theory.

Teaching Qualification Requirements:

  • A completed PhD degree or enrolled in a doctoral program in Political Science or a discipline related to the course;

  • Provide evidence of effective teaching ability as a result of having successfully taught a similar course;

  • The candidate's area of specialization must be as close as possible to that of the course being offered;

  • Experience as a teaching assistant for a course is an asset.

Mondays and Wednesdays 08:35 am-09:55 am, August 30, 2023 – December 5, 2023. Location: BIRKS 111.

McGill University is an English-language university where most teaching and research activities are conducted in the English language, thereby requiring English communication both verbally and in writing.

Salary: $9,625 per course.
