Teaching Qualification Requirements:
Education
Recognized high quality educator with a completed or nearly complete doctoral degree in Second Language Education or related education field.
Masters teaching degree or equivalent in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) degree may be considered if combined with significant relevant experience.
Experience
Expert knowledge and experience of course content including:
Second language education theory and practice from linguistic, psychological, sociological and educational perspectives
History of methods
Current approaches and teaching methods
Extensive successful experience teaching similar courses at the graduate level.
Experience as a School Administrator, Community Leader and/or Master Teacher preferably in the Quebec education system.
Experience designing and teaching on-line courses as 1 credit of this course is delivered on-line in support of the capstone project.
Knowledge of the Quebec Education program (QEP)
Familiarity with the 12 professional competencies specified in the Ministère de l’Éducation
Other
Knowledge of the impact and proven record of integrating pedagogical approaches anchored in equity, diversity and inclusion.
Familiarity using myCourses, Zoom, and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences
Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset
Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital and pedagogical teaching and learning tools
A commitment to working with a team of committed and engage instructors
Must be available to attend course coordination and planning meeting minimum of 2 weeks in advance of the course start date

Course dates: April 8, 2024 to June 30, 2024.
Contract Start Date: 1 week before course start date. (approx)
Contract End Date: 2 weeks after course end date. (approx)
