Winter 2023 Supplemental Course Lecturer Position

The Department of Economics is inviting applications for a course lecturer position to teach in Winter 2023. Please include your Cover Letter and Curriculum Vitae and if applicable a copy of your Study/Work Permit. A brief course outline is optional.

ECON 662D2-001 Econometrics (CAP 25, Registered 17)
A broad treatment of econometric methods, with particular reference to time series processes. Estimation of linear and non-linear models, GLS, IV, Maximum Likelihood, parametric specification testing for linear and non-linear hypotheses, diagnostic testing (autocorrelation, heteroskedasticity, normality, parameter constancy, etc.), modelling technique, non-stationary data processes.

Teaching Qualification Requirements:

• Doctoral level study in Economics, including completed comprehensive examinations for the PhD, or completed PhD degree in Economics;

• Evidence of highly effective teaching ability or of superior communications skills and potential for teaching excellence;

• The candidate's area of specialization should be as close as possible to that of the course being offered;

• Experience as a teaching assistant for a course is an asset.

Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:05 am-11:25 am, March 14, 2023 – April 11, 2023. Location: LEA 424.
