This is an intensive 2 week course - 7 days per week from May 6, 2024 to May 19, 2024 inclusively.
Position Summary:
Duties: (1) AutoCAD demos in mine surveying, (2) grading mine surveying assignments and homework, explaining materials during office hours, (3) assisting the instructor in answering questions by email or during office hours, (4) demonstrating surveying instruments to small groups of students. Actual distribution for hours per position to be assigned depending on enrolment.


Qualifications:
Requires public speaking ability. Must have specifically taken a mine surveying course; a general or civil surveying course is deemed insufficient. Practical mine surveying experience (theory and practice) an asset. Must be proficient in English, French is an asset. Must be outspoken and forthcoming, eager to discuss challenges and explain to students.
