Position Details

The University of Lethbridge requires a Counsellor, working in Counselling Services, to commence work as soon as possible, for a full-time, term position. This is a term position as it is fully funded by the Mental Health Grant.
Reporting to the Director of Student Wellness, Counsellors provide a variety of services to students, including personal counselling, group counselling services, psycho-educational workshops, and mental health trainings.

The University of Lethbridge is undertaking a job classification and compensation review for Administrative Professional Officer (APO) positions. As such, the salary range currently assigned for this position may be adjusted as a result of this project.
Position Qualifications
Applicants must have a Master’s degree, preferably in Counselling Psychology or related discipline, as well as registration with an appropriate professional body. A minimum of 2 years post-masters counselling experience is preferred.
The successful candidate will have:
  • A strong commitment to service for students
  • A strong interest in working with students in a post-secondary educational institution
  • Demonstrated counselling skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work as a part of a team.

The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, as well as Vulnerable Sector Check.
Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE) $70,981.05 - $89,293.94 annually
Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE) $70,981.05 - $107,606.84 annually (APO - Grade 4)
