RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary
We are recruiting a Clinical Research Coordinator to join the Division of Vascular Surgery at the Royal Victoria Hospital and the Jewish General Hospital. Under the supervision of the Research Director and Senior Coordinator, the clinical research Coordinator is responsible for supporting the successful conduct of clinical research studies. We are looking for a highly motivated, well-organized and independent individual to join our dynamic team.

Specifically, the Coordinator will be responsible for obtaining patients’ consent for clinical research, phone follow-up of enrolled patients and entering their medical data. They will also be in charge of ethic submission and project follow-up.

General Duties
• Perform data entry,
• Consent and recruit research participants,
• Completion of questionnaires, evaluations, and telephone follow-up,
• Ensure study related documents are completed in a timely manner and that all documents are filed,
• Maintain adequate screening and enrollment records,
• Any other related administrative tasks assigned by the Senior Coordinator,


Education / Experience

• Excellent skills in French and English, spoken and written, are required,
• Minimum High School Diploma,
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (biomedical, biostatistics, epidemiology) would be a definite asset,
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint,
• Experience in health information and working knowledge of databases such as REDCap or other internet-based platform are assets,
• Self-directed with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and quality, respect for confidentiality,
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team,


Additional information

Status: Temporary, part-time
Pay Scale: Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift: 2.5 days/week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Work Site: MUHC, Glen site (1001 Decarie Blvd, Montreal) and Jewish General Hospital (3755 Chem. de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine)
