Casual Research Assistant (MPP students only)

Specific activities/duties include:

(1) performing desk research and summarizing the processes and participants involved in the current World Evaluation Case Competition

(2) drafting and finalizing a protocol for use in conducting telephone/video interviews with individuals about the potential for a World Evaluation Capacity Case Challenge (30 minute interviews)

(3) identifying individuals to invite to the telephone/video interviews described in bullet 2

(4) inviting, conducting, and analyzing interviews identified in bullet 3

(5) writing a short report summarizing the findings and potential for a World Evaluation Capacity Case Challenge event.

Qualifications:

In addition to the five items articulated in this description, the successful applicant may also be asked to contribute to writing an application for McGill REB review and contributing to presentations or manuscripts describing the findings.

Applicants must be a student in the School's MPP program with well-honed research skills.

The research assistant will be working under the direction of Professor Leslie Fierro from April to June 2023, approximately 5 hours per week, not to exceed a total of 65 hours. Compensation is $25/hour.
