The Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto Mississauga invites applications for a full-time teaching stream position in the areas of Social, Personality, and Abnormal Psychology.  The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2024.

Applicants must have earned a PhD degree in Psychology or a related area by the time of appointment or shortly thereafter with a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching. We seek candidates whose teaching interests complement and enhance our existing departmental strengths.

Candidates must have teaching experience in a degree-granting program, including lecture preparation and delivery and development of online material/lectures. 

Evidence of excellence in the candidate’s contributions to teaching and learning can be demonstrated through teaching accomplishments, awards and accolades, pedagogical scholarship, the teaching dossier submitted as part of the application (with required materials outlined below), engagement in community and creative work, as well as strong letters of reference. 

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. 

Psychology at the University of Toronto Mississauga is an empirical discipline situated within the life sciences and devoted to the understanding of behaviour.
