The Department of Psychology at Carleton University invites applications from qualified candidates for a preliminary (tenure-track) appointment in Cognitive Neuropsychology at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning July 1, 2023.

The successful candidate will be expected to conduct research on issues related to cognitive neuropsychology using contemporary methodologies such as electroencephalogram measurement (EEG), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), or transcranial current stimulation (tACS/tDCS). They will teach both at the undergraduate and graduate level in Cognitive Neuropsychology, and have effective leadership and collaborative skills. The Department is open to all specializations within the area. The successful candidate is expected to show evidence of being able to maintain a successful program of research that is eligible for Tri- Council funding.

Applicants must have a Ph.D in Psychology, have demonstrated excellence in research and teaching, and possess a strong commitment to scholarship, as reflected in publications in the area of cognitive neuropsychology. The successful candidate will have the ability to develop an externally-funded, high quality research program; will be committed to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level; and will contribute effectively to the academic life of the Department.
