Position Description

The Ingram School of Nursing of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is seeking applications for a tenure-track position in Strengths Based Nursing & Healthcare, a philosophy and value-driven approach to guide clinicians, leaders, educators, and researchers.
This tenure-track position is open for appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
 
The successful candidate will be joining the School at a stimulating time of growth and new energy with a recent expansion in education and research-focused faculty, major curricular revisions, and a new physical space featuring state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities.

Job Duties

The successful candidate will be expected to develop an independent research program and to contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching for our diverse student body. They will also be expected to lead the development and implementation of policies and new initiatives that support the mandate and strategic direction of the International Headquarters of SBNH housed at the ISoN, contribute to the Strengths Based Nursing and Healthcare Leadership Program, and to service activities within their units, the School, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, the University, and the wider scholarly community. A demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion is also expected.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Candidates will have been educated as nurses or have a research focus relevant to nursing, have a doctorate in a health-related discipline and a track record of peer-reviewed publications;
• Post-doctoral training will be an asset, as will success in receiving external funding;
• Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to and in accordance with circumstances, a track record in equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in such contexts;
• Candidates should be fluent in English; fluency in French is an asset.
