Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director, Major Gifts, serving University Advancement’s Corporate Relations goals, the incumbent is responsible for providing a variety of support services including administrative support, data integrity, event coordination, communications and fulfillment for corporate partners.
In addition, the incumbent is responsible for assisting with all departmental projects as determined by the Director, Major Gifts in order to strengthen the corporate relations portfolio.
It is essential that all corporate engagement work is carried out with the highest standards, accuracy of information and quality of presentation as they reflect the University’s reputation to its internal and external stakeholders.


Qualifications:

The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:
Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Strong ability to prioritize and complete tasks thoroughly and within a tight time frame, while paying strict attention to detail
• Careful record keeping of engagement activities, such as minutes, activity coding in databases, social media engagements, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
• Must have judgment and tact, along with the ability to interact fairly and professionally with alumni, donors, partners and members of the senior executive who request information or assistance.
• Experience supporting event planning and coordination
• Experience providing administrative support to a team and committees
• Knowledge of the following software/programs are required:
• Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Access, HTML, Banner and WordPress would be an asset.
• Experience with databases and associated research methods would be an asset
• Knowledge of general office practices
• Occasional, mandatory overtime work required on weekends and weeknights


Education and Experience:

The above is normally acquired through the completion of:
• Completion of a two (2) -year college diploma in a related field.
• Five (5) years of progressive related office administration and customer service experience, including event and/or communication support.
