DUTIES
The School of Nursing, Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner program has two sessional positions available to teach the seminar and lab componens of NURS 6430. The focus of NURS 6430 is on health promotion, illness prevention, and therapeutic management of episodic, urgent and chronic health conditions common to primary care practice with emphasis on adults.
The successful applicants will collaborate with each other, as course partners, simultaneously teaching the seminar component of the course, with one section of lab each. Experience teaching nurse practitioner students with a focus on adults is an asset.
QUALIFICATIONS
• PhD (or equivalent) is preferred
• MN-NP qualification is required
• Current NP registration in a Canadian jurisdiction in good standing without limits or conditions, and/or eligibility for registration with BCCNM
• Three (3) years full time or equivalent in the role of a Nurse Practitioner
• Evidence of continuous learning in your area of nursing
• An understanding of, and experience in, the Canadian healthcare system
