OFFER DESCRIPTION

The  Institute of Mathematics and Informatics of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IMI-BAS) announces a temporary research position, funded by the Bulgarian Scientific Programme Enhancing the Research Capacity in Mathematical Sciences (ПИКОМ). Duration of the position is 12 months, extendable for up to 24 months under the program and then - under the general employment conditions of IMI-BAS. Successful Candidates are not restricted by mathematical field and are expected to be independent researchers, capable of starting their own research groups. They will also be affiliated with the International Center for Mathematical Sciences , Sofia (ICMS-Sofia).

4000 BGN gross monthly salary, additional support for housing, research-related travel and bonuses for research results and attracted funding.

PhD or equivalent

Selection process

Pre-selection based on CV, research statement and 1-3 letters of recommendation.

Selection based on interview.
