A postdoctoral fellowship is available for the discovery of microbial natural products as drug candidates for malaria at IFSC-USP under the supervision of Prof. Rafael Guido, linked to the thematic project “The Role of Chemistry in the Adaptation of Holobionts“.
Fractions and isolated compounds in collaboration with the IQSC-USP will have their antiplasmodial profile assessed for the discovery of Plasmodium falciparum inhibitors.
We’re seeking for:
- One highly-qualified FAPESP postdoctoral fellow with experience in medicinal chemistry and inhibition tests applied to parasites
FAPESP fellowships are competitive (R$ 7373,10 ) and granted for 24 months.
