(English version below)
- Histologie (coupes vibratomes, cryostat, immuno-marquages, microscopie optique, confocale, épifluorescence, ...)

The research laboratory is located at the Institute of Neurosciences of the University of Louvain Medical School (UCL), situated on the Brussels campus.
The goal of our research is to better define the molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in the embryonic development of the mammalian cerebral cortex in order to understand how the brain is built and learn to treat diseases of the central nervous system.
Description of the function:
- Molecular biology techniques (PCR, RT-qPCR, DNA or RNA extraction, cloning, western blot, protein purification, co-immuno-precipitation, luciferase assays, ...),
- Tissue and cell cultures (cell lines and primary cultures, transfections, nucleofections, ...)
- Histology (vibratome, cryostat, immuno-labeling, optical microscopy, confocal, epifluorescence, ...)
- Laboratory logistics (Inventory management, orders, preparation of laboratory solutions, assistance and realization of research experiments with master students, doctoral students and post-docs of the laboratory, ...).
- Management of mouse colonies. Mouse manipulation. A diploma for the use of laboratory animals is required (it can be obtained through a free training at the UCL)
Qualifications and skills required:
- Graduate / baccalaureate level diploma in biomedical technology, medical biology or equivalent.
- Diploma for the handling of laboratory animals. Otherwise, training can be taken free of charge at the UCL.
- To be able to communicate in French and in English.
- Independent, assiduous, organized, able to maintain a laboratory notebook.
- Initiative, dynamism, ability to work as a team.
