Researcher for machine learning technologies in fabric enhancer formulations with PhD possibility

The work will be performed in the Leblebici group of Center for Industrial Process Technology (CIPT). CIPT performs research on the development of new technologies and their implementation in existing (bio) chemical processes. The research group focuses on the miniaturization and intensification of chemical production processes and valorization of waste products. Technologies include the use of ultrasound, green chemicals, continuous reactors, photo chemistry and artificial intelligence.


Project

The successful candidate will work with historical data to develop predictor models to predict consumer experience.  You are expected to :


  • Take charge of the relations with the industrial partners, 
  • Receive and process the data from the industrial labs, 
  • With the help our AI team, learn the AI tools at your disposal to create hybrid models to predict customer experience
  • Create method publications (patents/papers) based on your findings 

Profile

We are looking for 

  • A motivated candidate with a passion for data science, modelling, AI.
  • You have a masters or PhD in chemical engineering with an emphasis on modelling, machine learning, data driven control, optimization
  • You are experienced in python libraries such as, TensorFlow, numpy , scipy.
  • Experience in perfume engineering is a definite plus.

A full-time research position (minimum 2 years) in a stimulating environment (KU Leuven).
