YOUR TASKS

  • You will be responsible for the execution of the research project Burnzymes. This project focuses on protein engineering of bacteriophage lysins for antibacterial applications. You will tutor students in this domain and write research publications.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • You hold a thesis-based doctorate in Bioscience engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Molecular Biology.
  • You have experience with protein engineering. Specific expertise with the study of bacteriophage lysins is a strong asset, besides a good knowledge of bio-informatics.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

  • We offer you a contract of definite duration for the period from 12-15 months (depending on seniority)
  • Your contract will start on 1/09/2021 at the earliest.
  • Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale WM1 to WM4 (if you hold a Master’s degree) or salary scale PD1 to PD4 (if you hold a doctorate).  Click here for more information about our salary scales .
