Post-doc position in Affective Tangible Computing

Updated: almost 2 years ago
Job Type: FullTime
Deadline: 30 Jun 2022

Within the domain of Tangible Interaction, novel paradigms of human-computer interaction are investigated that better exploit the motor-perceptual and social skills of the users. Such interactive systems are known to offer opportunities that go beyond those of the traditional desktop interface.  Affective Computing encompasses interactive systems that address the emotional state of the user. These systems are designed to assess, detect, and/or regulate the user's mood.
We offer a post-doc position that allows you to set up new projects at the intersection of Tangible Interaction and Affective Computing. You will carry out your own ideas, in collaboration with students (MSc and PhD), professors and experts in a chosen application domain. You will be involved in the writing of journal or conference publications and grant proposals, and assist in the supervision of MSc and PhD students.
This fully-funded position will be established in the e-Media Research Lab of the Faculty of Engineering Technology at the KU Leuven in Belgium under the guidance of Prof. Dr Luc Geurts.
