LABORATORY TECHNICIAN /RESEARCH ASSISTANT

for a part-time or full-time position at the Satu Mustjoki group, Hematology Research Unit Helsinki (www.helsinki.fi/hematology ). The position will be filled until 31.12.2022.

Mustjoki group studies cancer immunology, malignant blood diseases and related autoimmunity disorders. Our research spans from basic research to clinical drug studies with long-term aim to develop better treatment options for patients. The group belongs to the Translational Immunology research program at the Faculty of Medicine (https://www2.helsinki.fi/en/faculty-of-medicine/research/research-progra... ).

We are looking for a candidate with suitable professional background with experience in cell culture and handling biological material. We expect good cooperative skills, attitude towards learning new skills and possibility to flexible working hours. Possibility to assist in groups research projects utilizing animal models is considered a surplus. The assisting involves eg. of performing simple procedures and collecting and processing tissue samples.

The salary will be based on the salary system of Finnish Universities and is depend on previous experience and personal performance. The position will be filled with a trial period of 6 months.
