OFFER DESCRIPTION

• Further expansion of the activities of TME (Applied Mechanics and Energy conversion) division at Bruges Campus, in close cooperation with professors and researchers from the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Heverlee).
• Valorization of research activities within the M-Group and exploration of links with other research activities on the faculty's campus(es).
• Providing support for both government-funded projects and bilateral projects with industry and taking initiatives in this respect. 
• Support in education by giving lectures, assisting in lab and practice sessions and supervising master's theses
• Developing the mechanics labs of Bruges Campus, including the development of the HSE activities

Benefits

We offer a full-time (100 %) position as doctor-assistant for 1 year; starting date to be agreed upon.

Eligibility criteria

• You have a PhD in Engineering Sciences or Engineering Technology
• You have experience as a (post-)doctoral researcher, especially within the domain of jointing and/or designing techniques
• You have experience with or want to become proficient in writing projects and obtaining funding (bilateral, regional, European)
• You have excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in both English and Dutch
• Yuo have already gained initial experience in providing lab or exercise sessions in the field of design techniques, CAD, production technology, etc.
