Context: The HYGIEIA mission is a multi-center project investigating the biological mechanisms underlying the reasons for COVID-19 phenotype diversity through system biology network and multi-omics data integration for improved disease understanding, new therapeutic strategies and improved healthcare.

The consortium, pooling specialists from UCLouvain and CUSL university hospital, has expertise and operates special facilities in genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, microbiology and computational biology. Our established team combines multidisciplinary expertise from basic to applied research that explore fundamental and clinical health challenges.

The proposed position will be at the heart of the project. The successful post-doctoral researcher will be in charge of supervising all sample processing and assist the different -omics core facilities in sample analysis and methodology set up in a dedicated environment centralizing all samples received from the different partners. The researcher will focus on generating multi-omics molecular data (proteomic, genomic, metabolomic and microbiomic) from multiple human body fluids (serum, plasma, blood, swabs…) to feed a systems biology COVID-19 network and contribute to data interpretation. The candidate will be assisted by a full-time technician and a PhD student and will be working closely together with mass spectrometry and molecular biology experts as well as pre-clinical and clinical researchers and big data analysts.
